Gina Fuentes Walker uses translucent materials such as glass, plexiglas and transparencies of small color photographs to create site-specific installations that reflect light and familiar details of her surroundings.

She has participated in group and solo exhibitions in Massachusetts, Virginia, North Carolina, New York and Italy. Her work is informed by an academic background in anthropology and documentary media, and she has been awarded fellowships and residencies from the Smithsonian Institution, Chashama and The Bronx Museum of the Arts. A one year exhibition and a site-specific video installation were on view at Brauweiler Abbey near Cologne, Germany. She is currently a resident artist at Chashama Studios. Fuentes Walker lives in New York City.
